Galvanized steel water lines are corroded and starting to leak

Frank's Mr. Plumber Case Studies: Galvanized steel water lines are corroded and starting to leak

Challenge

Customer has galvanized pipes that are corroded and are starting to leak. He would like to get them replaced and is also considering adding water lined for the refrigerator, a central humidifier, and adding a gas line.

Solution

Technician arrived at his home to evaluate the water lines. It was determined that 100 linear feet galvanized pipe would be replaced by copper pipes for the whole first floor. They would also be adding shut off valves before every riser going to the 1st floor along with the main shut off valve for the whole house.

The single drain re-piped to the soil stack with PVC Pipes.

By completing these things the customer will have many years free of leaks and drips.
